la boudoir is something that fell into place when I took photos of a friend as a gift for her fiancée. the photos that came from that first photoshoot were so beautiful and the shoot itself was so much fun and inspirational. other friends upon seeing the photos were floored…soon everyone wanted their own shoot and word spread quickly! my background in fashion and love of photographing people comes together to create unique and modern portraits. I do complete post-shoot retouching to take each image to the next level and always find myself in awe of the photographs unfolding.
my hair and makeup artist of choice is the amazingly talented meghan stoll kaufman. meghan comes from a fashion background as well. she worked in london for many years before moving to portland where she and I met at a photoshoot for oregon bride magazine. we became fast friends and recognized eachother as counterpoints with the same vision and high standards. now our favorite jobs are portraits for la boudoir!
